Sleep

I wish sleep weren't necessary! I have so much I would like to get done during the day, but sleeping takes up so much time! I am one of those people that works best on 8-10 hours of sleep. Think of all the things I could get done in that amount of time! I could go to the gym, get another job and pay off bills, visit people I don't usually have time to see, could take up a hobby like knitting or something, finish school, etc... Don't get me wrong, I cherish sleep, but I just wish I could find a way to get by with less of it and be more productive. If they ever come out with something to make this possible, I will be first in line!

For now, I am tired, and dreaming of a nap......

YAY!!!

PARTYYYYYYY

Sorry its taken me so long to add to my blog! I can't say I am soooo busy, but I haven't had much to talk about.

So this past weekend I went up north to Breezy Point for a bachelorette party for one of my best friend's- Alyssa. Isn't she gorgeous!!??


We were in a cabin with a bunch of girls and went out to the bars for her party and we had a BLAST!

This guy cracked me up because he had one of the t-shirt tux's on and it went perfect with the bride!!


Needless to say, we had an amazing time for her last weekend as a single girl, and now I can't wait 'til the wedding!!

Happy Labor day weekend!

This weekend I went to my goddaughters birthday party up in Brainerd at their new house. It was a really fun time and its so nice to see all the kids growing up. Here is the cutest chalk drawing ever of my goddaughter Cadey.


When I first got there, Nick offered to read me a comic book and I was blown away by his awesome reading skills!! He does a really good job sounding out words and the GI Joe comic book he was reading had some HUGE words in it!


Then a bunch of the kids were having a great time playing in Cadey's room and they hog-piled on Nick- it was classic especially since he is outnumbered 6 girls to 1 boy...


Cadey wanted to have a dance party so she got all dressed up like Hannah Montana


Then she took her doll Piggy out into the living room to join in the dance party

Then it was birthday cake time! Cadey had a cute cupcake cake that was shaped like a purse and it had a glass slipper and giant ring on it.


Sarah was also so nice and got my sister Kristin a mini birthday cake since her birthday was the day before









On our way out of town we stopped at the Brainerd visitor center and took pics with Paul Bunyan!

I AM blonde....

Although I am not naturally blonde, I bleach my hair to make it so. At this point I am pretty sure the dye has seeped into my brain and made me a dumb blonde. This was proven three times in a row yesterday....

First, I was at Party City buying some items for a Baby Shower I am hosting next month. After gathering all of my purchases I went to the register to pay and the woman in front of me had tons of stuff to buy. I watched as the cashier scanned everything and being the friendly Minnesotan I am I started chatting with the lady buying all the stuff. She had a bunch of black and hot pink items for a bachelorette party including serving platters, necklaces, napkins, etc. I jokingly said "Yea, I just did one of those parties" (meaning a bachelorette) "And now I am doing one of these" and I showed her the baby shower items I had. She smiled and then was paying for her items when I realized, to my horror, that she was not buying bachelorette party items, it was for a SWEET 16!! The poor lady in line thought I was saying I had just thrown a Sweet 16 and now its a Baby Shower! I was too embarrassed to fess up, plus I thought it was funny, so I left without saying anything else. (Plus, this might make for a very important mother-daughter talk...) lol...

Then, on my way home, I was at a red light and wanted to attach my new air freshener. It is one that clips to the vent so when air flows through it the scent fills your car. I was having a heck of a time getting it to stay on the vent and I pushed really hard and my hand slipped and next thing I know my hazard lights are flashing. By this time, the light had turned green so I had to proceed through it, then I pulled over to try and turn off my dumb lights! I knew it had to be somewhere easy because I had just turned them on! After several minutes of unsuccessfully looking for the switch I had to haul out the car manual to look it up. When I finally found the right page, I was embarrassed to see I had been staring at the button the whole time. I turned it off and drove away.

As soon as I got home, I wanted to finish the invitations for the baby shower. I sat down to do my final touches when I realized that on every single envelope (32 of them, to be exact) I had place my return address label on the WRONG SIDE! I had put them on the upper right hand corner where the stamp should be! I was really upset with myself because HELLO! This is basic! Luckily I was able to peel off each label and put a new one on the proper side without too much damage. Thank God the stamps weren't put on yet, I would have had to buy more!

So, I think my point has been proven. I am blonde no matter what my hair roots say!

And we thought we were going to see fireworks....

So last night I went with my friend and her family to see the fireworks in Mounds View. Seems simple enough, right? Well it didn't turn out that way. As we were watching the fireworks we could hear two men yelling obscenities at each other and acting like they were going to fight. My friends mom stood up because she wanted to go talk to them and at the same time I walked around the idiots and found a police officer and let him know these men were acting like this and I was afraid they were going to fight. The other annoying thing was that they were cussing in front of all these little kids who were trying to enjoy themselves and watch the fireworks with their families. At the end of the fireworks, my friends mom went up to one of the boys and told them to be the bigger man and walk away and he did.

Just when you think all the craziness is over for the night, it isn't. We went back to the car and were trying to leave the parking lot when this kid in his red truck tried to cut us off when it was our turn to go. Then he proceeded to flip us off. We rolled down the window and my friends mom said "We are going every other one" meaning one car at a time and the kid proceeded to yell obscenities at us. I rolled down my window and asked him to flick us off again so I could take a picture and send it to his mother. And he did!


Then this kid followed us around a neighborhood and passed us on the right hand side, but we were able to get rid of him. And just for the record, I AM going to try to figure out who this kid is and send the pic to his mother, just as I promised....

On another note, my friend had these AWESOME snacks that I tried and am now in love with! They are little S'more snacks and I think I have a new love....


And lastly, this is one of the first negatives of surgery and its called hair loss. I have lost a lot of hair in the last few weeks, and I knew it was bound to happen but I hope it stops soon! I brushed out my hair last night and this was the result. I am hoping that this is the worst of it. But I am still glad I did it! This is a small price to pay!
